Care Providing Industry Seminar: Using Measurement Periods to Determine Which Employees Are Full-Time
This seminar is for Human Resource Department Members and Chief Financial Officers in the Care Providing Industry.
Financial Concepts, Inc. invites you to join, along with guest speaker, Scott Wold, Attorney with Hitesman and Wold, P.A., in a special two-hour presentation seminar for Care Providing Industry HR Department Members and Chief Financial Officers. This complimentary seminar will focus on the procedures large employers should establish to determine which employees are full-time employees for purposes of health care reform’s play or pay requirements.
Attendees will learn more about:
• Determining full-time status for ongoing employees (including variable hour and seasonal employees) using look back measurement periods (including transitional rules for 2014)
• Determining full-time status for new variable hour and seasonal employees using initial measurement periods

complimentary seminar will focus on public sector compliance with the play or pay requirements that apply to large employers.
Attendees will learn more about:
-Definition of large employer
-Offering minimum essential coverage to full-time employees, including union employees
-Determining full-time status for ongoing employees using look back measurement periods (including transitional rules
for 2014)
-Determining full-time status for new variable hour and seasonal employees using initial measurement periods
-Recordkeeping issues (e.g., tracking hours for employees not paid on an hourly basis)
-Penalties that can apply even if coverage is offered to all full-time employees
